Pôvodné výtvarné doriešenie interiéru Hotela Lux bolo dôkazom obdobia rozmachu kvalitného umenia na prelome 60. rokov 20. stor., pred nástupom normalizácie. V hotelovej reštaurácii boli umiestnené vzácne predeľovacie steny od významného sklárskeho výtvarníka Ľubomíra Blechu, v salóniku hotela zas originálna stena, obkladaná keramickým reliéfom od Imricha Vaneka. Obe práce boli po privatizácii hotela odstránené. Zachovaná zostala len Reliéfna stena od Jaroslava Kubičku. Monumentálna stena z vysokožiarnej šamotovej keramiky, v pôvodne hlbokej modrej farebnosti, je nosnou stenou a trvalou súčasťou architektúry. Autor ju situoval do komunikačného priestoru hotela, na prízemie. Pôvodné funkcie tejto časti hotela však boli počas prestavby interiéru v roku 2015 značne pozmenené, najmä nevhodným dizajnom nábytkových prvkov. Novovybudovaná recepcia nezohľadňuje výtvarný charakter modelovaných štruktúr keramickej steny a potláča jej pôvodne dominantný umelecký účinok.

The original artistic elements in the interior of the Lux Hotel bore evidence to a thriving art scene towards the end of the 1960s, before the period of “normalization”. Unique partition walls created by Ľ. Blecha, a renowned glass designer, were installed in the hotel restaurant. In a smaller lounge, an original ceramic relief by I. Vanek decorated one of the walls. Both Works of art were removed after the hotel was privatised. Only the “Relief Wall” by Jaroslav Kubička was preserved. This monumental wall made of highgrade fire clay ceramics, originally in deep blue tones, is a load-bearing wall and a permanent structural element of the building. The author placed it on the ground floor, in the hotel lobby. However, the original functions of the space in this part of the hotel were largely redefined during a refurbishment of its interior in 2015, as reflected in particular by the inappropriate design of the furniture elements. A newly built reception desk does not accommodate the artistic nature of the shapes and structures of the ceramic wall and suppresses its original imposing artistic effect.
